Amongst many who were fighting and demanding CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case, one of the yesteryear veterans, Simi Garewal was also supporting Sushant, demanded CBI inquiry and mentioned that this should be investigated as the people demanded the truth. However, two months after the actor's tragic demise, the wishes and prayers of the fans and friends were heard as the Supreme Court gave a nod to CBI for an investigation in Sushant's case. After the verdict was announced, from Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti to celebs from the Bollywood and TV industry, everyone took to their social media accounts and hailed the apex court for the decision. Reacting to the same, Simi too expressed her views saying that she is feeling relieved and calm for the first time after 2 months.
Taking to her Twitter handle, she said, "For the first time after two months there's a feeling of relief & calm. This is how battle-weary soldiers must feel when a deployment arrives in the war zone.. #CBIForSushant" Meanwhile, as per a report in Times Now, Mumbai Police is likely to make an attempt for a parallel probe along with the CBI.
Post the Supreme Court’s verdict, Sushant’s family recently released a statement which read, “We, Sushant's family thank our friends, well-wishers media and millions of fans worldwide for their love for Sushant and support for us. We are particularly thankful to Shri Nitesh Kumar, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Bihar for setting the wheel of justice in motion. Now that the country's premier investigating agency has taken over, we believe that all those involved in the dastardly crime will be brought to justice.”
